BC SRC Poster Exhibit at NVDPL till July 30

So fun to visit North Vancouver District Library and get a chance to see their exhibit: A Look Back: 29 Years of the BC Summer Reading Club.

When Libraries Branch, Ministry of Education, moved out of their Robson Street office earlier this year, all the framed BC SRC posters needed a home. NVDPL offered  not only a roof, but also an exhibit on the 2nd Floor of Lynn Valley Library. What a wonderful opportunity to see all the BC SRC posters in one place! On display till July 30.

Here are a few pics from the opening reception:

A Look Back: 29 Years of the BC Summer Reading Club.

Jacqueline van Dyk (NVDPL’s Director of Library Services) welcomed guests and visitors to the opening reception.

Jacqueline with a reading record one of her own children had filled out: “Something we treasure and hang onto forever.”

What a pleasure to meet 2008 artist, Elisa Gutiérrez (Read all Over the Map)

And if you can’t make it to North Van, thanks to our Web Guy, Neil Firkins (pictured above), you can always see the posters on the BC SRC digital archives.
