EXPLORE THE WORLD @ YOUR LIBRARY THIS SUMMER!

What is Summer Reading Club?

Your public library is jam-packed with great books to read over the summer and we've got the Summer Reading Club (SRC), too!

Come to the library to join the Summer Reading Club,"A World of Reading"!

Pick up a passport to keep track of the books you read and travel the world! Collect stickers and more all summer long.

Make sure you check out our interactive Kids' Page and meet talented artist, Stefan Czernecki. Don't miss the special electronic postcard to send to your friends!"

Here on the Summer Reading Club web site, there's something for everyone. Parents can find tips on encouraging their child's reading on the parents' page. There are also resources for librarians and educators, including the online Summer Reading Club Programme Manual. You can easily navigate through the site using the animal buttons at the left of the screen, or any of the highlighted text.

Thousands of kids in B.C. take part in the Summer Reading Club each year. If you have been in the Summer Reading Club before, welcome back --we hope this year's reading passport will get your stamp of approval. If this is your first time, you are in for a world of adventure!

Happy Reading! from the BCLA Young Adult and Children's Services (YAACS) Interest Group and the BCLA YAACS Summer Reading Club Committee.

The Summer Reading Club is a joint project of the B.C. Library Association and the B.C. Ministry of Municipal Affairs, Library Services Branch.
